Bridal Photos: Raquel
February 23, 2009 – 7:41 am
This weekend was a ton of fun. I fell in love with a new restaurant called Teriyaki Madness. They had the best Yakisoba Chicken plate I have ever tasted! If you don’t know what Yakisoba is, it’s thin Asian noodles, stir fried with chicken and veggies. I practically slurped the noodles off the plate it was that good. I also got together with Raquel for her bridal portraits. She and I had spoken about locations prior to the shoot, but when we got to the first location it closed at 4:30PM, so we only got one or two shots there. I then suggested The District in Green Valley. She was for it so onward we went.
Raquel is gorgeous. Like drop dead, I want to run a quick mile and put some lip gloss on, gorgeous. She also happens to be hysterical and sweet. The ultimate trifecta of bridal awesomeness. I mean, you know the day is going to go well when the first shot of the day looks like this….
Ridiculous right? We headed to the District right after this and when I saw the carousel there little pink hearts appeared in my eyes. I asked Raquel if she was game, and when she said yes I almost cried tears of joy. Nothing excites me more then a gorgeous bride in a new location. I would love to give you this long narration, but honestly the photographs speak for themselves.
Doesn’t Raquel look like Cameron Diaz a little?
I think the tiger was our favorite. He was fierce which really is what you want in a model
Although the zebra came in second.
My favorite shot of the day is this next one. I’m having a really hard time deciding between color and black and white. Which one do guys prefer?
I’m thinking the black and white…
Afterwards I asked Raquel to jump in front of the carousel, instead she busted out some dance moves…
We finished off the day with some really sexy shots. I knew she had it in her!
This next photograph is my second fave…
Thank you for coming out with me Raquel! It was fun getting kicked out of the museum with you, and riding around on the carousel with you a bajillion times. As always fun times.
By the way just a sneak peak of what’s to come next…
I don’t know I think it’s cloudy with a chance of rain. What do you think?
Inspiration
February 20, 2009 – 3:27 pm
So I am now able to blog from my iphone! Technology is amazing right? Hopefully this will help me blog more. This post is about inspiration. I am constantly looking for inspiration, and I tend to find it in magazines, music etc. The other day I was in town square and walked by the Armani Exchange. As I passed by I was stopped dead in my tracks by a huge poster ( I have attached the photo I took of it at the bottom of this post). I loved it! I want to recreate the posing with a bride and groom and add my own little spin on it! I got kicked out by the security guard taking the photo (apparently they don’t want me to steal their designs). Getting kicked out was soooo worth it. Now all I need is a sexy bride and groom. Any takers?
The Blog Bail Out Of 2009!
February 20, 2009 – 4:28 am
How do you say do over? Is it a mulligan? I think that’s the word. Josh is calling it the Blog Bailout of 09 though. I’m not the greatest writer in the world, I’m much better speaking although really I’m not that great at that either. I think it’s because I tend to think so rapidly, my mouth and fingers don’t have time to take it all in. I also ramble and go into these horrible tangents, kind of like the one I’m in right now….It doesn’t matter though because the Bail Out has begun! I have some exciting things coming up for this blog. I’m expanding on what I write about. I’ll be throwing in some personal things (like my obsession with chocolate chip cookies baked my friend, Liane), some wedding related things (I was in Marshall’s the other day and saw a candle decoration that would be perfect for centerpieces), and of course more photos! Lots of them! No matter what my blogging record will be improved. It’s my goal to myself, and to our brides this year.
