I have been really, really looking forward to blogging about this wedding. In fact, I’ve had the images picked out for a while. Jacqui and Roy were a very meaningful wedding for me since I met Jacqui through my old wedding blog. She ran across it, found out I was also a wedding photographer, and ended up booking us for their gorgeous wedding. I was really excited to photograph their wedding, I mean “first day of Christmas” excited. Tragedy stuck three days before their wedding, and unfortunately I tripped over my own two feet, and seriously hurt my ankle. It was my worst nightmare when my doctor said I would have to stay off it of it for the next two weeks, and that meant no walking, which meant no wedding. When Josh called Jacqui, she took it so calmly and so nicely (per Josh cause I was all sorts of drugged up). I was so grateful for both Jacqui and Roy’s kindness. Fortunately, we had our wonder wedding back up, Rafael from Rafael Lizarraga Photography, who so kindly second shot for Josh. Both Josh and him came up with some gorgeous images.
I was green with envy, I have to say, especially when I saw all of Jacqui’s wedding details. From her beautiful peony bouquet to her Bride+Groom signs, Jacqui planned out beautiful and memorable details. You could just tell that she poured her heart and soul into creating a wedding that would reflect the love that Jacqui and Roy share.
Josh and I have this fun game that we play. We try to beat each other’s “best” photos. I happen to usually excel in shoe shots. I think it has to do something with my obsession with them…I have to say Josh totally kicked photo booty on Jacqui’s shoe shot. I mean blew every single one of mine away. I kept the reflection of him, so you could see him in action!
Jacqui looked like the perfect image of a bride.
They got married at Elizabeth Ann Seton. Between Josh’s ceremony photos, and Rafael’s I was amazed at how breathtaking it looked. By the way this photo was shot by Josh, but you can also see him in the photo in the far right. Just a little photo magic.
This next image shot by Rafael is timeless…
After the ceremony, it was time for some quick portraits. I mentioned Jacqui looked amazing right?

Although the boys looked pretty spiffy too…Photo also by Rafael
I loved Jacqui’s soft pink bridesmaid dresses. Her girls rocked them.
After the portraits were over, they headed on to the reception at Siena Golf Club. Again, I have to give major props to Jacqui.
Their first dance looked so romantic. Both images by Rafael.
They also had a Lebanese belly dancer that came and apparently brought down the house.
After all that the night ended with one last romantic dance…
Jacqui & Roy, Josh and Rafael truly enjoyed spending time with you and your family. All three of us hope that you enjoy and treasure your wedding photos for many years to come!
